Shinx and sheep rustling

Last saturday we started playing again and talking about playing another game everyother week so that our GM/DM Dan could get some actual play time in... So the idea of Travller was introduced... Personally im not into space games at all, scifi is fine and dandy at certian points like Doctor Who, Red Dwarf and to some extent Star Trek TNG but over all I'm fantasy girl, I love Dragons and Elves and Centaurs. None the less we had a look at the books starting with races which totally put us off. In the end we comparmised with Star wars which im not really into either but at leaste i like Twi'leks.


After staying the night at the Powerplant Pokemon center the group have yet another chat over which way they should head, either towards Canarlis and the various activitys going on in that direction or towards the desert where there may be wild Onix and Trapinch's that Klint and Zephiera want, tho they both realise that direction is going to be harder on both Human and Pokemon alike. Eventually the decission is made to go to the City of Canarlis, so they all head out with the weather looking very cloudy and but not yet raining...

After travleing for 2hours with the rain looming over head but still not breaking the scanner picks up 2 blips so they head slightly off the path in that dirction, after a short walk the trainers find 2 Shinx playing with each other. After a quick talk Zephiera and Desmond decied they want the Shinx and step out to challenge them asking Arya to have her Espeon and Plusle out to use Helping hand to make capture slightly easyer.

Black White The extension and contraction of its muscles generates electricity. It glows when in trouble.

Desmond instantly sends out Zigzagoon while Zaperia pauses eventually picking Charmander,
while the Battle starts Zapheira uses her skills as a reasearcher to guess the nature of the pokemon (unfotunatly the first guess is wrong).
As the battle continues Desmond rushes in with the Zigzagoon to get some phsyical attacks in right from the start while charmander only moves closser keeping a wary eye on the foe which use charge befor they attack with spark causeing Zigzagoon to take massive damage and faint, Charmander keeps his distance useing ember at his maxium range to avoid being hit while Espeon deals out helping hand every other turn. Desmond calls upon his Rattata to finesh the Shinx his Zigzagoon was fighting while Charmader keeps to the tactic of distance is better and both Zaphiera and Desmond manage to make a capture of a Shinx each.

Soon after their battle the trainers use poitions on the pomemon that fought when it begins to rain heavily so Zapheira recalls Charmander befor  to much damage can be done to him and the group carries on with Desmond finding a pokeball in the road which he sends Zigzagoon to pick up, and then Demond hears something howling off in plains and dashes off to investigate, the rest of the party sigh with Zapheria pointing out that they are walking in very much an oposite direction to the way they should be going and if they keep doing this they wont get to canarlis befor dark and might infact get stuck in the marsh between here and there.
At this news the other group members begin to worry and ask why she didnt tell them of this marsh befor hand being the 'Local' of the group. Zapheria points out that Klint is also local and that they should have looked at the map they were given. Once the rest of the group find Desmond they see a Luxio which everyone scans, Zapheria suggests retreet seing as its definatly growling at them but Klint decieds he can take it and battles.

Black White Strong electricity courses through the tips of its sharp claws. A light scratch causes fainting in foes.

Klint Sends in his Starter, Aron who has so far proven his worth at taking hits and shrugging them off with relative ease with this battle being no different, Arya has Plusle and Minun out for Helping hands while Desmond has his Zizagoon there for support. Aron takes hits and gives out Super effective Mud slaps causeing the Luxio to faint giving Klint the change to capture this electric pokemon that will be so usefull should they come across water or flying pokemon.
Klint throws his ball and the catch fails wakeing the Luxio so it can run off, Klint tracks it with his sanner but Luxio moves far to fast for him so goes out of range, none the less he follows the trail with a flash near a hill giveing him something to head towards.

As the group find the cave they hear a roar of something sounding like a Shinx or Luxio only deeper and louder... Zapheria suggest quiet and retreet, letting the others know that what ever is in that cave will be to much for their little team if its what she thinks it might be, unfortuantly Desmond decieds now is the time to make as much nouise as possable causeing the radar to bleep uncontrollably and a massive flock of Zubat to fly from the cave straight at them!

Black White It checks its surroundings and location using reflections of the ultrasonic waves from its mouth.

Natuarlly they all manage to get a scan of a Zubat into their Pokedex befor they run off back to the road.
They find the road again at around midday and eat some lunch on the move due to the heavey rain which slowly begins to lessen as they walk and after a couple of hours stops complately.

As they continue to walk the all hear bleating in the distance that Zapheira recognises as Mareep, as the group are unsure if they are wild or not they scann the pokemon while looking for a human shepard or something similar..

Black White Its fluffy coat swells to double when static electricity builds up. Touching it can be shocking.

Not a singal person can be seen for miles around so after a short pause Desmond, Kilnt and Zaphiera decied they couldn't battle theses pokemon because of the sheer amount of them so throw one pokeball in the vain hope they might catch something, Unlucky (or is it Luckily?) for Zapheria her catch fails while Desmond and Klint Decied they like the look of the others catch and so trade them befor the balls zip off to Pokemon Storage while Arya informs them that they have succsessfully commited 2 Felonies, Sheep rustling and the Handling of stolen goods!
The boys worry only a little over this but make sure to put some distance between the possably not wild Marrep and themselves.

After another hour's walk the group ask Zaphiera weather or not they will be able to cross the marsh befor it gets dark, she informs them that they will not so they find somewhere to camp while Desmond worries about pokemon sucking him off during the night..... He is a very odd boy.

2011's last game.

Last Saturday was the last gaming session of the year, sad I know, good thing we will still be playing next year. There's talk of playing D&D again soon which I'm looking forward to and also not because although D&D (2nd edition) was the first Table top RPG I'd ever played and have been playing it since I was 16 (I'm 25 now) and altho in between those times I've changed DM, and groups and even systems the game has been starting lose luster a tiny bit.. dont get me wrong I love the game but this pokemon game has been soo enjoyable I dont think I want to switch back.... 

Anyway on with the story!

As the Party travel onwards though the evening towards the Pokemon Center not 2 hours away they come across a strange looking mushroom while Klints Radar picks up a pokemon close by but nothing but the mushroom can be seen. Zephira tells everyone that there are pokemon that look like mushrooms and so scans it with her Pokedex and sure enough it is a Foongus.

	Black	It lures people in with its Poké Ball pattern, then releases poison spores. Why it resembles a Poké Ball is unknown.

White

For some reason, this Pokémon resembles a Poké Ball. They release poison spores to repel those who try to catch them.

The team disscuss weather or not any of them want a Foongus till Zephira decide's that a grass type will be handy for catching a Trapinch once they reach the desert, so battles it with her Charmander while Magikarp looks on. The other trainers with Magikarp also let their's watch and scan the Foongus so they can get the Pokedex entry, while Zephira deftly captures the little shroom.

As the team continue to walk through the dark towards the Pokemon Center, healing and rest Klint's radar picks up three fast moving pokemon from behind them, Zephira calls Charmander out to light the way and help them to see the shapes in the dark while Arya brings Espeon, Klint brings out Aron and Desmond his Lillipup which begins yapping instantly. As the blips on Klints radar get closer and closer all the pokemon begin to growl senseing the prescense in the dark, one of the party ask if Klints radar can pick up on how big the pokemon might be hoping that it might give away something as to the identity of the pokemon but alas Klint informs them that its just a blip and that's it...

As the blips get nearer Charmanders light illuimnates the area, three Rattata rush out of the dark and begin attacking Espeon, Lillipup, Aron and Charmander, while attacking and moving around the light flickers and moves plunging some of the Trainers into darkness dueing the battle making the trainers have to guess the location of the Rattata... Sudenly all three Rattata dash out of the darkness towards the trainers, but with Charmander, Lillipup, Aron and Espeon exspecting and attack they easily get their attacks in, and kill one of them,  befor the last two Ratatta try to steal things from the trainers and run off. As the other trainers return their pokemon Zephiera notices the dead Rattata and feels bad for him but none the less carries on her journey.

Just befor they reach the Pokemon Center Desmond notices, fights and captures a Purrloin and being his 7th pokemon transports off to Pokemon Storage.

Black	They steal from people for fun, but their victims can't help but forgive them. Their deceptively cute act is perfect.

White

Its cute act is a ruse. When victims let down their guard, they find their items taken. It attacks with sharp claws.

While at the Pokemon Center the Team heals their Pokemon after the Rattata and other battles they had along the way while Desmond switches his yappy Lillipup for his new Purrloin. After a short while Klint's radar picks up 2 blips outside and so Klint, Arya, Desmond and Zepheria venture outside to see what they might be, leaveing their bags inside as the intend to stay at the Pokemon Center that night due to the rain. After some searching Arya finds the blips and scans them with her Pokedex finding them to be a Plulse and a Minun,

	Black White	It cheers on friends with pom-poms made of sparks. It drains power from telephone poles.

	Black White	It cheers on its friends. If its friends are losing, its body lets off more and more sparks.

Quietly she offers them both a berry each and talks them into having a battle with her so she might capture them, Picking Aron and Klint to help her battle them.

With Plusle and Minun useing Helping Hand the battle turn out to be a dificult one but with Klint as her partner useing Aron the battle ends up with Arya catching both Plusle and Minun adding them to her team.

And that's the end of the game of 2011, I hope the games of this year will end up being as fun as all the games of 2011 have been.
